Celebrate Everyday!

Hello everyone!
Today I am sharing a card I made for the Winnie and Walter 4th birthday bash.

I was highly excited to see the various challenges posted on the W&W blog. But as I own only 2 set of dies by W&W couldn't participate in all the challenges. While going through the details of the challenge yesterday I found out about the freebies they offer so that you can participate in their challenges.
I could manage to make one card using this digital element freebie from the store. Do check out their other freebies.
Here's my card for the birthday bash!

For my card, I downloaded the 1st Birthday Bash digital elements and printed the balloons image on a white cardstock.
I die-cut this panel using the "Celebrate" cutaway(die) from the store.
I die-cut the same sentiment 3 more times.

Adhered the balloons panel on a white card base.
Layered and mounted the 3 die-cuts onto it in the negative panel.
I die-cut one more sentiment with the same die using silver glittered cardstock.
Adhered this at the top of the layered sentiment.
I downloaded and printed the Word tile freebie from the store. Cut the "Everyday" word tile and foam mounted it on the card.
Lastly, added few sequins to complete my card.

Hope you like my card! Would really like to read your feedback!

Thank you for stopping by!

Chance to Fly

Hello everyone!
Today I am here sharing a card I made for the Viva la Verve Sketch challenge of Februrary.

Here are the February challenge sketch and my take on it!

For this card, I have used The HAPPY PLACE stamp set by Verve stamps.
I started by layering various pattern and texture papers as per the sketch on a white side-folding card base. I added foam adhesive to some layers to create some dimension. On a stitched circle die-cut, I stamped the sentiment from the stamp set. I stamped the image, coloured with Zig markers and an Aqua pen and fussy cut it. Mounted this image onto the card.

MFT Olympics - Event#3 - Creative Biathlon

Hi everyone!
My last post for today.
My entry for MFT Olympics - Event#3 - Creative Biathlon

For this challenge, I chose to combine the Inlaid die-cutting teachnique with a shaker card. Here is my card for the same.
I have used the MFT Mandal die for this card.

I took a pattern paper from the MFT Dots and Stripes Sorbet paper pad. Die cut the mandala with this paper. I die-cut 4 more mandalas using a matching plain paper. Stacked all the 4 layers together using liquid glue. Added the pattern paper mandala on top of the stacked die-cuts. On the negative image, I adhered a piece of acetate from the inside. Prepared the negative for the shaker card by adhering foam double tape all over it. I made two layers of the foam adhesive to create proper space for the shaker elements. On a white card base, I distressed the top panel using Worn Lipstick distress oxide and Fossilized amber distress oxide. Added the shaker elemnts and mounted the negative over the card base. Added the stacked mandalas over the negative space to create the inlaid mandala with raised effect. Laslty, Heat embossed the sentiment using white EP over black strip and foam mounted it across the centre of the mandala.

MFT Olympics #4 - Speed cardmaking

Hello...!
Back again with my next entry for the MFT Olympics Event # 4 - Speed Cardmaking

Cardmaking has never seemed to be so difficult. It may seem to be a very easy task when you see the completed card, but it is highly time-consuming. I realised this when I actually timed my card making for this event (MFT Olympics - Speed cardmaking)
I generally make my cards in parts step-wise and rarely complete them at a single sitting.
So even though I had collected everything needed (I practically rehearsed the entire process in my mind several times... lol.. to make sure I do not skip anything) prior to the making of the card it took me a whole lot of  31 minutes to make this card.

So here goes my card!
I have used the MFT Geometric Greenery stamp set to make this card.

I masked off the entire card just keeping a small portion open, using scrap papers.
I stamped the sentiment repeatedly within that portion using grey ink.
I stamped the images, coloured them with zig markers and fussy cut them.
I heat embossed the sentiment from the same stamp set using white EP over the black strip.
Next, I assembled the three leaves on the card, by directly sticking the first one flat on the card. The next two were mounted using foam adhesives to create some dimension on the card.
Lastly, mounted the sentiment strip onto it with foam adhesive.

And my card is ready!
I am sure next time around I can make this card much faster.

MFT olympics # 2- Freestyle

Hello friends...
My entry to the MFT Olympics Freestyle event.

I have used the Happy Hedgehogs stamp set.

To begin with, I took a white cardstock and distressed it using distress oxide inks - Cracked pistachio and Peacock feathers, till I got the desired effect.
Next, I marked and cut a circle on the distressed card stock.
Using a thin brush, I first splattered water over the circle and later white acrylic paint, to achieve the snow effect.
Using the stitched Snow drifts die, I cut a small panel and adhered it to the bottom of the circle.
Stamped two hedgehogs, coloured with zig markers and fussy cut them.
I printed a tiny image of bonfire, coloured and fussy cut it.
Next, I started assembling them all onto the circle.
I first stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set. While stamping, I masked off 'LOVE' from the sentiment and stamped the remaining part. Completed the sentiment by handwriting 'BRR..' using a black pen.
I adhered the circle on a white card base using foam adhesive.
Adhered the bonfire on the circle and then mounted the two hedgehogs overlapping it using foam adhesive.

Just for you!

Hello friends!
Wish you all a very Happy Valentine's day!

Today I am sharing a card I made for Valentine's day.

I printed the digi on Canson Montval watercolour paper.
Coloured the image with Zig clean real brush pens and an Aqua pen.

Cut it into a rectangular shape.
Next, I took a card base of size 4" x 5" and adhered a slightly smaller pattern paper to it. Mounted the image on the card using craft foam.
Lastly, added glossy accents to the balloons to give them some texture and gloss.

That's all for today!

MFT creative olympics

Hello friends!!
I am at the blog today with a card I made for participating in the MFT creative Olympics.
Check the details of the same here.

Here is my first card!
I have created this card for Event 1 - Stamping Slalom.

For this card, I am using
MFT Hog Heaven, MFT Happy Hedgehogs and MFT I'm Owl yours stamp sets.

I stamped the images from all the three stamp sets on a watercolour paper, coloured them with zig markers and fussy cut them. I drew the branch with the leaves on the same paper, coloured and fussy cut it too.
On a white card panel, I created the sky effect using distress inks and cloud stencil. Mounted this panel on a white side-fold card using craft foam.
Next, I assembled all the images on the card. Lastly, stamped the sentiment.

Few more pics.

Perfect Love (Craftyscrappers)

Hello friends!
It's my first DT post for this term with Craftyscrappers and I am super happy to be here.

Valentine's day is just around the corner...
Today I have Pic-torials showing a few cards for your loved ones.

Let's get on with it.

* PICTURE HEAVY POST*

1st card

Here, I have used the new XOXO stencil and the TALE AS OLD AS TIME stamp set.
To begin with, I took a 4"x6" card panel.

I distressed the panel through the stencil using various DI, to create a colourful background.

Trimmed the panel and foam-mounted it on a 4"x6" card base.

On a stitched circle die-cut I stamped the sentiment from the said stamp set. Stamped the image on Canson Montval paper. Coloured the image with zig markers and fussy cut the image.

Adhered the circle die-cut on the card base.
Mounted the image overlapping the circle using foam adhesive.

Lastly, added few sequins to complete my card.

2nd card

For this card, I took a 4"x6" card panel. I distressed the entire panel creating a rainbow background, using multiple distress inks. Let it dry.

Once dry trim the panel to get a 3"x6" strip. Using Unicorn white pigment ink from Heroarts, I distressed the entire strip using the hearts stencil.

I took a black card panel slightly larger than this strip and matted the strip on it. Adhered this completely to a white side-fold card base.

Meanwhile, stamped the image, coloured with zig markers and fussy cut the image. Stamped the sentiment on a white strip.
Adhered the sentiment and the image to the card.
Lastly, added glossy accents to the heart.

3rd card

I made a shaker card this time.
I distressed a blue card base using Unicorn white pigment ink from Heroarts, through the XOXO stencil.

Once dry, I stamped the sentiment as desired using my Stampoholic.

Prepare the shaker window using a circle die-cut ring and acetate sheet. Fill the shaker elements and mounted the ring using foam adhesive.

Meanwhile, stamped the image, coloured with zig markers, fussy cut the image and later mounted it on to the card.

BONUS CARD

Here's a bonus card, which I made using the Rays stencil and To my Otter half stamp set.
This card is made using all the extra supplies that were leftover after finishing the above cards.
I have used the leftover multi-coloured strip and distressed it with the Rays stencil using white pigment ink.
Matted this strip with silver glitter paper and adhered it to a card base.
I have also used all the extra critter images to complete the card.
Lightly brushed the BG with Squeezed lemonade DI before adhering the critters.

That's all from my end today.

Hope you enjoyed my cards.

Do let me know which one is your favorite.
