Colourful thanks

Hello!!
A New card on my blog today using the Lawn Fawn Elphie Selfie stamp set.

Here's a look at the card.

For the card
I took a 1 1/2" strip of a paper from the Lawn Fawn Perfectly plaid paper stack.
Marked the position of the strip on a white card panel with a pencil.
I then stamped the sentiment "thank you" with various Lawn Fawn inks (Plastic Flamingo, Carrot, Merman, Peacock) and Versa color green pigment inkalong the lines. Adhered the pattern paper strip on the marked lines.
Stamped, coloured and fussy cut the Elephant (from Lawn Fawn Elphie Selfie set) and the balloons (from the Hippo birthday set).
Arranged and stuck the balloons overlapping each other. Adhered the balloons to the elephant trunk.
Mounted this completely with foam adhesive on the card. Covered the balloons with glossy accents to give them a shiny look.
Stamped and heat embossed the sentiment on a black CS and mounted it with foam adhesive.

Few more pics of the card.

Thank you for dropping by my blog.

Would love to hear from you.

Peek-a-boo surprise

Hello
A "Pee-ka-Boo" surprise on the blog today.

This is a very cute and awesome stamp set from Craftyscrappers that I won recently. I am totally in love with this stamp.

Here is my card with the above stamp set.

I began by stamping the images and colouring them with pencil colours. Later fussy cut the images and keep them ready. I took a card panel and coloured it with blue and green distress inks.
Mounted this panel on a card base. I cut two strips of grass with different shades of green. Arranged the fussy-cut images and the grass strips on the card base. Lastly stamped a sentiment in the centre.

Isn't that a cute card? It was great fun making this.
Hope you enjoyed my post.

Mixed media nameplate / fridge magnet

Hi!
Today I am here with two mixed media projects.

Nameplates and a fridge magnet

The Nameplates

These are customised nameplates made as birthday return gifts.
To make these nameplates I first applied white gesso to the wooden base. Used texture paste and stencil to create the background texture design all over the base. After heat setting it, I used colour splash sprays over the base.
With the help of Shilpakar, I made the face of the girl/boy and painted them. Using a small amount of Shilpakar I adhered the faces onto the bases.
I took stitched circle die-cuts, covered it with gesso and let it dry. I mounted these die-cuts on the wooden base along with double tapes and a strong liquid adhesive. I stuck the alphabets on the circle with liquid glue.

Here are the close up pictures....

My next project is a fridge magnet.

Fridge magnet

To make this fridge magnet I first applied white gesso to the MDF circle base. Used texture paste and stencil to create the background texture design all over the base. After heat setting it, I used colour splash sprays over the base.
I adhered a magnetic sheet to the back of the MDF.
I embellished it with some flowers and pollens.
I used a heart die cut and mounted it on the base using double tape and a strong liquid adhesive. The photograph was then mounted on the heart shape.
Lastly, I used the die cut word "US" painted it with black and glitter and mounted it over the base with double tape and strong liquid adhesive.

Here are few more pictures of the magnet.

Inspired by a movie / book

Hello, everyone!
The new challenge for the month of April is up at Craft rocket challenge blog and the theme for this month is "Inspired by a Movie / book"

Here is my DT inspiration card for the theme.

My card is inspired by a movie called "Goosebumps" wherein a Character in the storyline is shown  to be an author, who has written a series of books. The "series of book " is what inspired me.

Here's my card

For this card, I began with colouring this digi of a stack of books. I had won this #oddball digi in one of the challenges. I love this image very much. After colouring this image I die-cut it with a stitched rectangle die.
I took a yellow cardstock and stuck a matching patternpaper on it. I mounted the die-cut digi on this, placing it at the edge.
Attached the sentiment with foam adhesive overlapping it with the die-cut rectangle. A small bookmark with a string, stuck it on one side completes my card. This was basically to fill in the open gaps.

Thank you for dropping by my blog. Hope you liked my card

The digi I have used for my card is  "Rachel Ballerina" . Here's a link to the image.

I began with colouring the digi with some pastel pencil colours. On a Kraft cardstock, I first put a glitter washi tape and then mounted the coloured image. I printed a quote I found on the google (Source unknown). Mounted this quote with foam adhesive. Lastly, I added few star sequins to add to the magical effect of the wand.

Do hope over the blog to check out the inspirations by my other DT friends.
And Do not forget to participate in the challenge.

Altered bottle 2

Hello Crafters,

Altered art!!

Recycling is a noble cause and it is indeed a great pleasure when you can contribute to it in your own small way.
I am addicted to collecting things which may be refurbished to form something beautiful. Though not all may go through the refurbishing process. Some keep lying in my stash waiting for their turn to come.
Today one such lucky perfume bottle got the makeover for sure.
It was a rebirth for the bottle, though this time round it became a decorative piece of art.

Here's a brief look with the before and after effect.

I began with painting the entire bottle with Chalk paint from Itsy Bitsy. Once the paint was dried I tied a paper rope to the cap of the bottle. I embellshied the bottle with doilies, flowers, lace, thread, leaf die cut and a mariposa butterfly.

There the bottle is ready to be showcased. :-)

Here are few more pictures of the same.

I am in the process of reviving few more Perfume bottles. Hope you liked my revived version of this bottle.
