Peek-a-boo surprise

Hello
A "Pee-ka-Boo" surprise on the blog today.

This is a very cute and awesome stamp set from Craftyscrappers that I won recently. I am totally in love with this stamp.

Here is my card with the above stamp set.

I began by stamping the images and colouring them with pencil colours. Later fussy cut the images and keep them ready. I took a card panel and coloured it with blue and green distress inks.
Mounted this panel on a card base. I cut two strips of grass with different shades of green. Arranged the fussy-cut images and the grass strips on the card base. Lastly stamped a sentiment in the centre.

Isn't that a cute card? It was great fun making this.
Hope you enjoyed my post.

Happy Birthday CAS

Hello, folks!!

A set of CAS cards made using a single stamp set "Doodly blooms" from Craftyscrappers.
I loved this stamp set so much. There is so much you can do with this single stamp set.

Card 1

For this card, I began by stamping the sentiment repeatedly on a green colored cardstock panel with green colored pigment ink. Trimmed this green panel and adhered it to the card base such that a wide portion of the base cardstock is seen. Adhered a very thin strip of the green panel leaving a thin gap in between. Mounted a die cut circle on the panel with foam adhesive. Next, I heat embossed the sentiment on a black strip with white embossing powder. Stamped the flower outline on a yellow cardstock. Adhered the flower and the sentiment strip over the circle die-cut with foam adhesive. Lastly added sequins to add some elements to the card.

Few more pics..

Card 2

I made the background here again by repeatedly stamping the sentiment, but black heat embossing it this time. Mounted this panel on a white cardstock and added a washi tape on one side. Stamped the bloom outlines from the same stamp set, on coloured cardstock and leaf outlines on green cardstock. Fussy cut all the images. Arranged and mounted the leaves and flowers on the stamped BG with foam adhesive.

I had great fun creating the BG with these stamps and loved the outcome.

Tinkerbell fantasy

Hello, Crafters...
A new challenge starts today at Craft Rocket challenge blog.

Theme for this challenge is "Fantasy"

For my DT inspiration, I made a card on Tinkerbell. I coloured this image of Tinkerbell with pencil colours and mounted it on a card with a sentiment. Added few stars over the card to give the magical effect.

It was absolute fun making this card.

Here are few more pictures

May flowers

Hello!!

Welcome to another challenge at Make my Monday blog.

The theme for the challenge is "May Flowers"

I am guest designing for the blog challenge.

Here is my project for the same.

I took a Green coloured cardstock and stamped a flourish design with green coloured pigment ink to get a monochromatic, self-designed background.

I stamped the sentiment on a white cardstock and mounted it in the centre with foam adhesive.
Later embellished the card with flowers, leaves, swirls and sequins.

Here are few more pictures of my card.

Hope to have inspired you. Looking forward to seeing what you have come up with.

Latte Love

Hi!
Today I have a beautiful coffee themed card over the blog.

"Sending you a latte love...." I simply fell in love with this sentiment.

Here's my card to go along with this sentiment....

To begin with

  • I embossed the purple strip using "Embossing folder love".
  • Marked the lines where I wanted to place it on the base cardstock.
  • Stamped the sentiment "Warm hearts" from the HOTP stamp set repeatedly across the line.
  • Mounted the purple strip on the base cardstock.
  • Next, I took a circle die-cut and mounted two cut pieces of coffee cups and a heart with foam adhesive.
  • Adhered this Diecut over the purple panel.
  • Lastly added a sentiment to complete the card.

(P.S. I did not have the coffee cup die/stamp set. I simply did some basic cutting and sticking of shapes to get the cups. Similarly, the sentiment is also printed and not stamped.)

Hope you liked my card. I enjoyed making it a lot.
Kindly leave your valuable comments below. I love reading them through.

Anila Dikay

The digi I have used for my card is  "Rachel Ballerina" . Here's a link to the image.

I began with colouring the digi with some pastel pencil colours. On a Kraft cardstock, I first put a glitter washi tape and then mounted the coloured image. I printed a quote I found on the google (Source unknown). Mounted this quote with foam adhesive. Lastly, I added few star sequins to add to the magical effect of the wand.

Do hope over the blog to check out the inspirations by my other DT friends.

Off the edge cards

Hello,
Two new cards on my blog today.
I have made "Off the edge" cards.

 Card 1

This card is made completely with stamping.
I used the new release stamp set "Doodly blooms" from Crafty scrappers. I stamped the Orange coloured blooms and green coloured leaves on a white card panel. The stamp set has a matching outline stamp which I used with black colour.
Next came in the "Happy birthday" sentiment which is a part of this stamp set. I mounted the card panel on a white cardstock.
I used the Mudra washi stamp to cover the open end of the card.

Here's a closer look at my card.

Card 2

I took a blue cardstock and stuck a Doily halfway on one side. Cut the hanging part of the Doily. I stuck a circle die-cut on the doily. Next came in some flowers which I layered one above the other to create some dimension. I stamped a sentiment on a white card and mounted it with foam adhesive.
I added 2 leaf sets from under the flower and few enamel dots. Lastly, I added the tiny layered butterfly in yellow colour to break the monotonous look of the card.

Hope you liked my card. Do leave your feedback in the comments below.
Thank you,
Anila Dikay

Thank u card

Hello all

My card for today is based on the new technique shown by Jennifer Mcguire in her very recent video about sentiment background. Check out the youtube link here.

To begin with I took a white card panel from the Dress my craft papers.and distressed it completely using  "Scattered straw".
I then started collecting and arranging all the stamps with similar sentiments on the card panel.
(As I don't have many stamps sets having the "Thank you" sentiment, I could only cover some part of the card panel. But I somehow managed using the stamps repeatedly as per the space available.)

I stamped the sentiments using Brown pigment ink from Itsy Bitsy. Heat set the entire panel. I cut the panel with a DCAM double stitched circle die-cut. Mounted this on a white panel which was later layered on a Kraft cardstock.
I color smooshed a white card panel. Used a butterfly die from Nagashri arts to cut butterflies from this panel. I layered and stuck 3 butterflies one over the other by sticking only the centre part. This gave it a nice dimensional look.

Mounted the butterfly onto the white panel seen through the circle die-cut. Used a ready "Thank you" sticker as the sentiment.
Lastly added few sequins to complete my card.

It was really fun creating this sentiment BG with the stamps.
I hope you liked my card. Do leave your feedback in the comments below.

Regards
Anila Dikay.

Colours of Rainbow

A big hello to everyone out there!!

I am happy to be Guest designing at Make my Monday challenge blog today.
Thank you, Carole, for this great opportunity.

A new challenge # 41 is up on their blog with the theme as Colours of Rainbow.

Here is my card for the same.

I started with some floral die cuts in the rainbow colors. I arranged them randomly around the outer edge of a white card panel. Trimmed all the die-cuts outside the edge of the panel.  I used the sentiment from Hot off the press stamp (HOTP) - Rain or Shine. Stamped it on a white stitched circle die-cut which I adhered to a larger stitched circle die-cut. Arranged this on the white panel in the center. Later I mounted the panel on a white base cardstock. Lastly added 2 yellow colored enamel dots to add an element to the card.

Hope you all like my card. Do leave your precious comments below. I would love to hear from you.
