Dreams take flight! (Tribute to Melissa)

Hi!
I had a DT post for Colourific, scheduled to go live today and took this opportunity to make this messy watercoloured butterfly card to pay my tribute to Melissa Lane (Honeybeelane).

The Stamplorations team has put up a wonderful tribute to her.
You can check the details over here.

Personally, I did not know Melissa, never spoke to her. But the news was a shock to me and the sadness remained with me for a long time.
I just happened to go back over my blog the other day, to find many wonderful, kind and encouraging comments left by Melissa on my posts.
I am sure she was an equally beautiful and kind soul.

May her soul rest in peace.
May God give her family all the strength they need to face this situation.

Here's my card!

I have used the Butterflies take flight stamp set. I took a watercolour paper. Stamped the butterflies using distress inks through my stamping platform.
I sprayed water over the paper each time I stamped the butterfly.
The water on the paper helped the distress inks spread all over, giving a messy watercoloured look.
Stamped the sentiment in Versafine onyx black ink. Foam mounted the panel on a card base with a strip of gold cardstock under it.
Lastly, added lots of Nuvo drops to fill the empty gaps.

Thank you for stopping by.

Autumn greetings!

Hi Friends!
I am here with a card full of Autumn colours!
These are my favourite colours.
The shades of yellows and oranges is always a beautiful sight.

Here's my card!

I have used the Botanical love stamp set by Create-a-smile, for my card.
I repeatedly stamped the small leaf stamp from the set on a watercolour paper.
Coloured them all with Zig markers. Adhered this panel to a coloured card base.
Stamped the sentiment. "Autumn Greetings" sentiment from my stash.
"Just for you is from "Cart full of treasures" by Create-a-smile.
Coloured the border of the sentiment. Mounted it using craft foam.

You are pretty amazing!

Hello all!
A new challenge begins today over at Inkspirational. Theme for the challenge is Vellum.
Use Vellum on your cards and participate in this challenge.

Here's my take on the challenge.

I have been wanting to try this Vellum card for a long time.
I diecut 4rectangular pieces with scalloped edges. Adhered two each back to back, sandwiching the Vellum in between. Repeated this on the other side too.
Stamped a sentiment from a set by Cas-ual fridays.
Foam mounted the watercolor florals by Little Birdie crafts.
Added a few sequins. thanks

Thank you for stopping by!
Looking forward to what you make for the challenge.

PLEASE NOTE: Due to some reasons (Still unknown) if you are not able to comment on my blog, I would request you to please drop over to my Instagram (linked here) and leave your feedback on my post there. It would be greatly appreciated.

CAS Thanks WCMD

Hi!
Here is a CAS card, I made using Carolina's florals by @Winnie and Walter!

I stamped the solid images using dye inks. Added the finer details using Polychromos pencils. Stamped the smaller sentiment and added the die-cut. Mounted this panel on a card base over a strip of Washi tape.

Check the details in the close-up!

WCMD - Craftie challenge

Hi!
This is a picture I took before I made any of my cards for the WCMD challenges.

There is this only foldable table in the house, basically a study table for my son. I tend to spread myself all over it when he isn't using it. Other days, I spread all over the floor as I do not have a dedicated Craft room.
At this point, I was completely clueless of what I want to make and for what challenge.
So I collected all the possible things I might need for making a card.
This looks to be quite neat and clean currently, as like I mentioned earlier, the picture was before I actually began with the process.

I didn't dare click any picture after this... lol...

Black and white thanks

Hello friends!
Sharing a card I made for the WCMD- 2018.
I have used Carolina's florals stamp set by @ Winnie and Walter.

Here's my card!

I stamped and created a background, using a flower and leaf. I layered with two shades of grey ink.
Mounted the panel on a side fold card base.
Die-cut the word Thanks in three colours - Black, white and Orange.
Layered the sentiment in the sequence of Black - Orange - White, offsetting each a little so that the lower ones show through.
Adhered the sentiment over the card.

Sending you Thanks (WCMD)

Hello!
Here's a card made using the supplies by Winnie and Walter.
I am using Carolina's florals stamp set and the Thanks cutaway.

I stamped the small leaf stamp repeatedly over a white card, with Versamark and heat set it using white embossing powder. Ink blended using distress oxide.
I die cut the sentiment and blended ink over it.
I brushed a layer of sparkle paste over it to make it sparkle. Layered the sentiment with twice.
Mounted the panel over coloured card base. Mounted the sentiment. And added a smaller heat embossed sentiment above it.

Few more close-ups.
(You can see the shine in the close-ups)

Thank you!!

HAPPY birthday wishes (WCMD)

Hello!
I made this card to participate in the Winnie and Walter World cardmaking day challenges.
I have used the In Blooms - Carolina's florals to make my card.

I stamped the flowers and leaves on a watercolour paper, coloured and fussy cut them.
On a white card panel, Stamped the sentiment from the same set in black. Adhered the flowers around the sentiment. Stamped the leaves and other details directly on the panel.
Foam mounted this panel on a top folding card base. Lastly, added a few details with a black pen.

Thank you for stopping by!

Fishes for you!!

Hello friends!

I am at the blog today with a set of cards I made as my DT post for Little Birdie Crafts.
I have used the Fintastic Birthday stamp set from the store.

I am sharing two 4"x6" cards and two 4"x4" mini note cards.

Here's a look brief look at them.

4"x 6" cards

4"x 4" mini note cards

CARD 1

Stamped all the images on a watercolour paper, coloured them with Zig markers and fussy cut them. Ink blended a paper using distress inks to create the ocean look. Die-cut an oval using Stitched oval dies. Foam mounted the die-cut on a side folding card base. Adhered all the fussy cut images to create an ocean scene. Foam mounted the sentiment. Lastly, added few dew drops to complete the card.

CARD 2

For this card, I stamped the image repeatedly in black ink on a watercolour paper. Die-cut the paper using a heart die, centring one image in the centre of the heart. Coloured the images, all in yellow and the centre one in red to highlight it. I traced and trimmed a coloured heart from a yellow cardstock. On a white side-fold card base, adhered the yellow heart. Foam mounted the die-cut heart over it.
Lastly, foam mounted the sentiment.

CARD 3

On a white card, randomly added watercolour strokes to create the water effect. Stamped the sentiment around the strokes to create a box effect. Stamped, coloured and fussy cut the image. Mounted the panel on a 4"x4" note card. Foam mounted the image on the card. Lastly, to add some pop of colour, I stamped the tiny hearts all around the sentiment.

CARD 4

I stamped all the images on a watercolour paper. Coloured and fussy cut the images. On a 4"x4" top-fold card, adhered the images to create the fish tank scene. Stamped the sentiment. Added few shadow details to the card.

That's all for today!

It was a great fun making these cards. Hope you liked the cards too.
