Mixed Media Project

Hello Everyone!

Today I am herewith something which I don't do very often.

A Mixed media project!!

I am not a very Pro in this type of art. But have tried to come up with something inspired by the artists around me,

Here I am using the backing paper of some embellishments as the base. To begin with I used some colour textured paste and created some textures on the corners of the base (The textures didn't come out so well.... you will be left guessing what shape is that) . After that i used Distress ink and coloured the backing paper covering all of it. I then pasted a piece of Jute in the centre and a piece of mesh over it. Then came the feathers (I simply love them!), a piece of doily, a metal leaf.... a chipboard painted in golden colour.....and lastly few flowers to add colours. I then stamped a sentiment on a piece of paper and stuck it with foam adhesive.

And so my yet another attempt at mixed media is completed!

Hope I have done justice to all the instructions and tips I followed.
I really liked coming up with this one. And I think I should keep practicing more of this art.

Thank you for reading through.
Kindly leave a comment for me. I really love reading your feedbacks.

ICR Blog Hop

Good Evening!

A card I made for another challenge..

Its a simple card with few steps.
  • I took a white cardstock of the desired size.
  • Stamped the design using Versamark Watermark and heat embossed using clear embossing powder.
  • Used distress inks with a blending tool till I got a proper shading. Sprayed with little water on it and let it dry.
  • Stuck this paper on to a brown cardstock, leaving a small brown margin from all 4 sides.
  • Took a black strip of cardstock. Stamped a sentiment using Versamark Watermark. Heat embossed using white embossing powder.
  • Added few pearls.
  • There the card is ready!

Hope you liked my card.
Kindly leave your feedback!

Christmas *LatePost*

Hello there!
This is Christmas post.
I have been a little late in posting this. Somehow it skipped my mind. But as i had specially designed it for  a challenge, here I am posting it.

A CAS card!

A Clean and simple card, easy to replicate.

  • Cut the cardstock to the required sized card.
  • Cut the patterned paper a little smaller than the cardstock, so that a border of the cardstock can be seen under the patterned paper. Stick it on the cardstock.
  • Stick the stickers and embellishments (Santa, gifts etc.)  as desired.
  • Stick the sentiment in the centre on a foam adhesive.
  • Put a star on one corner. So simple.
  • And your card is ready!!

Thank you for dropping by.
Kindly leave a comment if you like my post.

Just a little note for you!!

Good Afternnon folks!

Christmas day is already gone. Last month was mostly filled with making Christmas projects, what with the paper bags, cards, keychains, tags etc.....
Now today I am herewith a card for a challenge i am participating in.

I began by Stamping the background white paper randomly with my Mudra " Floral note" using the Versamark Watermark. Heat embossing the same with white embossing powder.
I later used Distress inks to create the shaded background I wanted.
I attached this white cardstock on a brown cardstock.
Cut a 3" doily piece and attached it on the stamped paper.
I then stamped Mudra "Floral note" sentiment on a brown paper, similar to the main cardstock. Stuck this on the card, overlapping the doily with a foam tape.

Added up a few flowers to the note and tied a twine around the cardstock.

And here my card is ready for the challenge.

Kindly leave your feedback on the same.

Scrapbook layout

Hello everyone!

Today I am herewith a Scrapbook layout, made specially for a friend who delivered a cute little bundle of joy yesterday!

It's a Baby boy! Yayyy!!!

To begin with I attached a green colored patterned paper on a brown cardstock.

Then on a white cardstock i stamped Mudra "Old Script" multiple times in greenish blue colour. I put this paper on the patterened paper.

Later came a photo background. I have kept it white, with a blue checkered paper border. Tied a blue bow on one side. I mounted this frame on to the stamped cardstock. I didnt want it to be symmetrical so i mounted the frame a little offset.

Next came the embellishments...... few flowers, stickers, a little duckling, baby clothes,
a butterfly, some alphabet buttons etc...

Lastly came the sentiment " Congratulations" to the proud parents!
Again a Mudra "Sentiment Essential" stamp.

To avoid the monotonous blue look, I have added few different colours such as yellow, orange n green.

That makes my layout complete. Hope you all enjoyed it!

Kindly leave your comments below. I would love to read them through.

Congratulations card!

Hi everyone..

This is another card I made today.

Completely out of the Christmas theme, this card is made for a Challenge.

To begin with

  • I took a 5x6 card and covered it with a yellowish brown patterned paper.
  • I used the Mudra "Old Script" stamp with a mixture of Lime, Magenta and Sky blue colour dabbed on it randomly. I then stamped it multiple times on a textured white paper.
  • Later i cut a heart on the stamped portion.

  • I stamped the Mudra stamp "Sentiment Essentials" on the white paper again. Lastly came the arranging of it all.

  • I first placed the stamped heart on the cardstock, as the background for the sentiment.

  • The sentiment was stuck over it overlapping the heart halfway.
  • Lastly came the placing of a Wedding couple silhoutte.

There it's done for!
A Congratulations card for a newly married couple.

Christmas Paper bags

Hello Everyone!!

Last week before Christmas.... Few more things lined up for completion ... Last few Christmassy projects to be finished....!!

Today I am here with Cute little Paper bags for Christmas gifting.

Be it chocolates, keychains or anything else for that matter, wouldn't be exciting and joyful to receive gifts in these bags...?? :-D

The bag is made up of Brown colored. With the help of WRMK paper bag punch board, I could make custom sized bag as per my requirement.

The paper bags are covered with colorful, Christmas themed patterned papers. Few decoartions such as a cute Santa and an Owl adds up to make the layers.

Christmassy sentiments finishing up the decorations.

The bags have one single hole punched in the centre.

Fill in the treat and then tie the ribbon around. This ensures that the treat inside remains within the bag without any chance of dropping out. :-)

There it is!! So very simple and elegant too... :)

Here it goes!!!

Thank you for dropping by my blog.

Hope you all like the paper bags.

Kindly leave your comments below. I really love to check them all. :)
