Hello Friends!
I am back at the Little Birdie Crafts blog today with some fun!
Have you ever found it difficult to find THE perfect gift for someone? I always struggle to find the perfect gift for any occasion. At times I find it easier to simply give a gift card so the recipient can buy what he/she likes. What with even the kids being confident about their choices, this seems to be the best way.
Next comes the way these cards should be presented. I came up with a way that looks attractive and easier to make on your own.
The best thing about this technique is that you need minimum supplies and this can be made just in a few minutes (A big respite for last-minute planners like me...lol)
Here's a look at my card holders!
Let's get on with the tutorial.
Take a paper from the Succulents paper pack and cut it to the size of 6.75" x6".
Tip- While cutting the paper make sure the design is correctly placed. The 6.75" is the width of the paper and 6" is the height of the paper. So your design should be vertical along the 6".
Score the paper on the longer side, first at 2" and then (3" apart) at 5" distance. Let the remaining part be as it is. Here the central part of 3" will form the width of the pocket. The other two parts overlap on this to make the pocket enclosed.
Score the shorter side first at 1" from the top and then at 1/2" from the bottom.
Tip - The 1" score is the cover of the pouch and has to be done at the top of the paper. The 1/2" is the margin that will enclose the pouch from the bottom.
The pouch is ready! Now over to the decoration part.
To create a tag. Use the tag sticker packet. Stick one of it on a green solid coloured paper.
Tip - The layering of the sticker on a solid coloured paper makes it pop out against the busy background of the pouch.
Take a sentiment from the paper pack, stick it on a white paper to make it stiff. Adhere this to the tag. Take a piece of twine and thread it through the tag.
Put in the gift cards. Wrap the envelope with a satin ribbon to close it. Tie the tag through the ribbon.
There your Gift card holder is ready!!

Wasn't it very easy to make these beautiful card holders?
Hope next time you will make your own gift card holders and I am sure that the recipient would be delighted to receive it!
Would love to see if you make something similar.
