Cherish!! - A Mini Album (IB)

Hello everyone!
Sharing my DT post for Itsy Bitsy here today.

I am sharing a different kind of project. A Mini Album with a pictorial.
I hope you will like it.

I am using the newly launched Aqua Medley paper pack from the IB store.

Here's a glimpse of the project.

Please follow the pictorial below for better understanding.

To begin with, I took two strips of cardstock which were 12" long.  The width of the papers was around 3.75" (As I was using the paper strips that were remaining from my previous projects, you may see that they are a little less/more than that. I went ahead with the same measurements. The measurement guidelines are for you to follow)

Scored them both at 3", 6" and 9".

This gave me two Zig-Zag strips. I trimmed one strip a little more from one end and adhered it to the other strip by overlapping the panels. On folding, I got a folded panel of size 3" x 3.75". This became the body of the album.

I cut two panels of sizes 3.25" x 4" (a little larger than the body size) from the same cardstock. These were for the top and bottom of the album.

I took three different papers from the paper pack and cut them into smaller sizes to fit each panel of the body, each sized at 2.75" x 3.5". Adhered them all to the body of the album from both the sides.

Tip - The top-most and the bottom-most panel remains white as it will be attached to the cover panels.

Next, I cut similar panels and adhered them to one side of both the top and bottom panels of the album. Adhered the top panel directly to the body, by sticking the panels together.

Tip - The white sides of both the panels will stick to the white side of the body of the album.

Before adhering the bottom panel, I attached two strips of satin ribbons to its white side and sandwiched them with the body of the album.

Tip - I had plans of making an album with the teal and white theme. So, I even used two colored ribbons to maintain the overall effect. But, one ribbon can be sufficient.

Once all the panels were in place, the structure of the album became ready. The major part of the album making is done. What remains is the decorations which one can do as per their wish. It may be done as per the occasion or the recipient too.

I fussy cut a lot of elements from the journaling sheet. I have also used some strips of paper from the cover page of the paper pack where there are smaller images of all the papers in the pack. These are ideal for making banners. I also collected some die-cuts, some stamped sentiments, etc. I did not use any 3D embellishment or even used foam tape in this album. I wanted it to be a very compact one.

For the cover of the album, I decided to make a shaker.  As the panel was dark in color, I used a lighter background circle base for my shaker (a circle die-cut using a sheet from the paper pack) Added a tiny butterfly inside the shaker. I have used the Sequins Medley as my shaker elements. Lastly, added a sentiment, a butterfly and a few pearls to complete the album.

Hope you like the project.

Thank you for stopping by.
